Jean du Rand
Associate Director of Consulting, New Zealand
Jean du Rand joined the Massmart Group in 1990 and spent 8 years working in various divisions where he was responsible for HR strategy, IR, Training and Development as well as Buying, Merchandise and Strategy. In this capacity Jean reorganised the General Merchandise division, developed and implemented Africa’s 1st B.Comm Retail Buying Degree and structurally implemented Category Management techniques for the company. Jean left his role as HR Director and Merchandise Strategy Developer to join Affinity Logic and shortly thereafter moved to NZ where he spent a year implementing Merchandise related projects. Jean joined Glendinning as an Associate Director in 2002, and works privately with numerous Retail, Wholesale, Food Service and FMCG businesses across both Australia and NZ. Jean is based in Auckland, NZ.
